  Job Responsibilities:
  
  • 
    
  • Maintains knowledge of recipe food prep procedures and production sheets and guides other cooks in preparation procedures.
    
  • Demonstrates ability to prepare proper menu and meal. Advises other cooks in proper set up procedures.
    
  • Maintains competency in Serve Safe guidelines. Monitors and instructs other cooks in Serve Safe Guidelines.
    
  • Demonstrates proficiency in proper shipping of food procedures. Oversees other cooks to ensure they are also following correct shipping procedures.
    
  • Operate all stoves, ovens, slicers, etc. and instructs other cooks in proper operating procedures.
    
  • Satisfies all educational in-service requirements mandated by CHI Living Communities, the department, external accrediting, and regulatory agencies.
    
    Requirements:
    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    Experience: Cooking in a Health Care or Hospital setting preferred. Minimum two years of experience.
