Position Summary: Penske Logistics is looking for a Receiving Clerk to become part of an excellent team. Associates under this job title generally work checking in trailer loads of product received from vendors and/or backhauls. Once the goods are unloaded, the clerk verifies case counts and notes deficiencies against receiving paperwork. Why is Penske Logistics for you? Duties and Responsibilities: Attend daily pre-shift meetings Proceed to assigned area (conveyor office) Check product as received on conveyor Scan unit into system Report damaged/suspicious units to supervisor for disposition Work with inventory control to properly identify QC units. Complete receiving paperwork in a timely and efficient manner Complete warehouse counts All other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications: • 1 year of general office experience required • 1 year of customer service experience preferred • Ability to communicate effectively • Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules • Read, write, understand and speak English • Ability to handle multiple tasks independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting. • Must have knowledge of computers and ability to learn WMS and various internal applications • Must use handheld computers / scanners • Operate various material handling equipment, occasionally moving product in warehouse • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
