Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clinical Documentation Improvement
Specialist 2nd Level Reviewer.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed reviews of medical records to ensure accurate
clinical documentation and code assignment
Provide education and training on documentation best practices and
coding guidelines to healthcare providers and CDI team
Identify trends in documentation deficiencies and collaborate on
quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
BSN, PA, NP, or Doctorate degree in a medically related field is
highly preferred
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical documentation
improvement role
Certification minimum CCDS and/or CDIP; CCS highly preferred
Experience with 3M, Epic, and/or Nuance CDEOne is highly
preferred
In-depth knowledge of coding guidelines, ICD-10-CM/PCS, MS and APR
DRGs
