Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN General, Dialysis, Mental Health) Job Specialty: Staff Augmentation Job Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Night Shift, 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM, Days off are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Not specified License: Registered Nurse license Certifications: Not specified Must-Have: - Ability to work in a secure environment - Capacity to climb and descend stairs frequently Job Description: - Make rounds and evaluate care needed and rendered - Develop care plans and teach healthcare principles - Administer medications, including narcotics - Provide direct nursing care as needed - Perform specialized procedures such as IV therapy, chemotherapy, wound care, oxygen therapy, dialysis, blood transfusion, intubation and CPR, tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, and phlebotomy duties - Organize and oversee the 'code blue' team - Direct healthcare staff, including hospital aides and licensed practical nurses - Act as the lead worker for one assigned shift when necessary - Assist physicians in giving diagnostic health evaluations - Perform clerical tasks such as charting and recording all medications, treatments, and pertinent medical information - Complete required reports such as incident and accident reports - Document pertinent information for healthcare programs - Order supplies and equipment while maintaining an exact inventory of all controlled substances, medications, and equipment - Arrange outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations - Coordinate new and refilled prescription orders through local pharmacies - Perform administrative tasks and serve as a liaison within the organization - Conduct or attend meetings - Serve as an instructor on occasion - Participate as a member or leader of problem-solving teams or groups
