You are a valued expert and resource to Operators, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Management, and Production Planning team members.You will have the opportunity to:Oversee manufacturing processes for new and existing products with defined process controls, ensuring stability and continuous improvement of Materion process capabilitiesFacilitate rapid response to Shop Floor technical issues to ensure product quality is maintained and on scheduleCollaborate with EH&S to assure safe processes and working conditionsApply Six Sigma/LEAN manufacturing principles to product and process development and problem analysisAssist key customers (worldwide) with technical issues/opportunitiesOther engineering job duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineer preferred2-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a technical manufacturing environmentExperience in metal casting, physical metallurgy processes, and degreasing of scrap material preferred.Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred control charting and statistical analysisSAP experience preferred#HPThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
